This quote got me thinking.
Why is it so important to express ourselves by isolating ourselves from others?

Like:
"I am not a bmw driver."
"I am not like the others."
"My taste in music is iconic."
"I am special for what I have to offer."
"I am work harder than everybody else."
By the way, that’s the reason why high level brands sell. They sell uniqueness to those who can afford it. They sell exclusivity. They sell „we are different and we like it“.
And why do we simultaneously want to belong?
Like - even if I’m isolating myself from others clearly, I truly belong to those who…
“We are lawyers, we speak this way."
"We are models, we dress this way."
"We are athletes, we don’t drink on weekends."
"We are spiritual, we track the moon phases."
"We are so and so, that’s why you - who is outside of our club - can’t understand."
Because thinking in boxes has saved our live evolutionary.
Knowing that this person or animal in front of you belong to the group of friend or foe was crucial to choose the right response and therefore to live.
Getting yourself surrounded by “your people” gave you a greater chance of surviving and defining who “your people” were, gave the group a better sense of belonging and again: increased to possibility to live.
So far to the scientific part of it.
In our time now, it’s just more fun to surround yourself with likeminded people, that share your outlooks on life and your interests.
And since fun is our highest goal, creating your own table with likeminded souls instead of begging to sit by a existing table, just could lead to more fun. While simultaneously validating the tables around you.
But there’s no need for isolation anymore.
To the contrary, the more we know and feel, that we all are one, the more it will benefit our survival on this planet, turning the right of the strongest, into the law of unity, while this unit consists out of highly unique individuals.
That’s what Main Character Energy stands for, living your life, as if it would be your own film - accepting that everyone around has their own story, too.
Cumulating in the story of our existence.
Happy to hear your thoughts on that!
Yours,
Christina
