Online Yoga Teacher Training with Element Yoga

Ladies and Gentleman (trompets playing in the background),

it's happening

Last month I graduated my yoga teacher training and now can teach Yoga officially as Element Yoga Teacher! I'm so proud, grateful and happy that I got this certificate and with it all the knowledge that I'll need to provide an excellent yoga experience! 🎓

So if you are curious what element yoga is and what I learned during the online yoga teacher training, keep reading ... 📖

Element Yoga

Element Yoga is an approach to yoga, a method, that alligns the qualities of the ayurvedic elements with any yoga practive. So it can transform every yoga style such as for example yin yoga, vinyasa yoga, hatha yoga, ... and so on.

During the teacher training we mostly practiced the Allignment Yoga Style, which is focused on the exact execution of the individual yoga poses, yoga asanas.

In my opinion thats the perfect way to really learn yoga, to sense the transformation that even one shift is causing in your body and to be able to teach it in all other styles.

So what are these qualities of the elements?

Earth

Earth stands for stability, the connection with the ground beneath you, grounding and for creating a proper foundation. It's mostly located in the feet, to strenghten your fundament for the pose.

Water

Water symbolises balance and harmonization. Often it is felt in our hips, when they adapt to the movements of our bodies during an asana. It's here to remind us to be gentle and soft and to surrender to the pose.

Fire

Fire creates willpower, perserverance and integrity. It is activated in the belly area, in our abdominal muscles, where not only heat arrises but also our lower back gets protected.

Air

The element of air promotes openess, lightness and expansion, that is mostly translated in your chest area, in your shoulders and hands. It allows you to settle on the foundation, that the other elements had layed.

Ether / Space

Everything, that is, arrises reflection and supports connection that allows you to stay in the present moment, in the now - which is one of the most important objectives why yoga is practiced in the first place.

Yoga Teacher Training

During the online yoga teacher training I learned everything about the physiology of the body, especially in all the yoga poses, as well as the protection of injuries and all the significant muscles with their synergies.

Also we dove deep into yoga philosophy and explore the yoga sutras, the old, ancient scripts that transport the idea of wholeness of body, mind, soul and everything around.

I learned the concepts that allign with these teachings and always was invited to reflect upon my own live - how yoga is implemented, even when I'm not on my mat.

So it becomes more a way of life that just a sportive excercise.

In the last part of the training I practiced how to actually teach yoga with all the insights that I have gained during the previous modules. How do I structure a session, how do I embed the appropriate qualities into the practice and how do I see when a student needs further assisstance? All these questions were answered, leaving me empowered and confident with a framework, that I can use in all contexts.

The online yoga teacher training is facilitated through an online learning plattform, where you can access all course material. One video unlocks as soon as you have completed the previous one. After every theory lesson there is a practical yoga session of round about one hour length to strenghten your own yoga practice on the one hand and to shadow in class to watch different teachers performing their own individual teaching style, so you can take what alligns with yourself from it.

Pros and cons of the online format

You don't visit the studio in person during your teacher training but you always can choose when it fits best into you schedule. That brings a lot of time freedom and also a lot of self discipline to stay on track. On the other hand you have the possibility of pausing your training, whenever something comes up, so that you temporarily cannot continue. I paused a lot during Covid for example and was able to listen to my body without an effect on my teacher training - which was so valuable!

During the teacher training you usually wont connect with other students in person but you'll get to know many of them within a digital space called "Slack". There you can connect with others, arrange yoga practice together and share your homework.

The teacher training is structured in different modules. Everytime your homework is accepted, the next module gets unlocked.

So if you value your time freedom and flexibility ober the physical meetings in person, the online yoga teacher traing from element yoga might just be the right thing for you.

Check them out here, I'll link you the training studio. ⬇️

This is a recommendation - as always - straight from my heart. I only share the things that I truly and completly stand for. I am so beyond grateful for this experience and being teached by such incredibly experienced teachers, especially Alex Kröker, who does most of the trainings. 🙏

Element Yoga & the Main Character Mentoring

Because of its ability to connect the wonderful qualities of the elements with your yoga practice and therefore to spark their integration beyond the mat, so that you are able to take them with you into your day to day life, element yoga is part of the Main Character Mentoring.

We first access all stuck themes and emotions that has been stored inside your body through yoga and exchange them with the qualities, you want to embody, such as self love, self care, self determination and self efficacy.

So that you create the fundament for the inner work and mindset shifts during the mentoring and the embodiment within the meditation. 💖

It's the most sustainable way that garantuees transformation on a deep and longlasting level. Underpinned by energetic alignments that will reset an focus your energetic body onto your Main Character Energy.

So that's the MCM framework in a nutsshell.

Curious for more?

I look forward to welcome you inside the MCM!

All the best,

Christina 🤍
